Arcis Capital Partners LLC spun off its real estate investment business, which will operate as Arcis Real Estate Capital LLC.

The new company will target investments in student housing, multifamily, seniors housing, hospitality, self-storage and other operationally driven assets in the U.S. It will also target projects within federally designated opportunity zones.

Arcis Real Estate will be led by Mohi Monem as managing partner, with Steven Sorensen joining as partner. Arcis Capital Chairman and Managing Partner Afzal Tarar will be executive chairman of the spinoff.

Arcis Capital is a New York-based private equity investment management firm with a focus on U.S. technology companies.
