TPG Capital Advisors LLC's middle-market and growth equity platform, TPG Growth LP, hired Heather Smith Thorne as partner.

Thorne, who was most recently managing director and partner at private equity firm Swander Pace Capital, will head the consumer investing and strategy division at the TPG Growth platform in San Francisco.
