Shiga Bank Ltd. will close nearly a quarter of its branches over a three-year period starting February 2020, The Nikkei reported Dec. 16.

Shiga Bank President Shojiro Takahashi said the bank will close or merge 30 of its 133 branches, adding that customer visits to the outlet have fallen 40% in the past 10 years.
