Piper Jaffray analyst William Curtiss upgraded the company to "overweight" from "neutral" following an improved outlook in the company's near-term loan growth. The analyst also wrote that key near-term catalysts for the company include better-than-expected loan growth with easing payoffs and a stable-to-improving core net interest margin.
Stephens analyst Matt Olney reiterated his "overweight" rating of the company.
At 11:10 a.m. ET, the SNL U.S. Bank Index added 0.67% to 645.91 and the SNL U.S. Thrift Index rose 0.67% to 940.08
The Dow Jones Industrial Average was flat at 25,033.11, the S&P 500 was down 0.06% to 2,712.77 and the Nasdaq Composite Index fell 0.06% to 7,267.74.
