Del Frisco's Restaurant Group Inc. said its normalized net income for the fiscal second quarter ended June 16 amounted to 14 cents per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of 19 cents per share.
EPS decreased 21.0% year over year from 18 cents.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was $3.4 million, a decrease of 21.5% from $4.3 million in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin fell to 4.6% from 6.4% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue rose 9.5% on an annual basis to $73.8 million from $67.4 million, and total operating expenses increased 12.9% from the prior-year period to $68.3 million from $60.5 million.
Reported net income declined 20.6% year over year to $3.8 million, or 16 cents per share, from $4.8 million, or 20 cents per share.
