Canadian bottled water delivery company Cott buys Watercooler Gigant

Canadian bottled water delivery service Cott Corp., through its wholly owned unit Eden Springs, has acquired Leylines BV's Watercooler Gigant unit, according to a Jan. 3 release.

Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Watercooler Gigant is a Netherlands-based e-commerce platform that supplies bottled water coolers and filtration solutions for commercial and residential markets.

Cott said the acquisition will help Eden Springs boost its position in the region with the addition of an e-commerce platform and about 1,800 customers.

In a statement, Eden Springs Continental Europe President Antonio Alarcon said Watercooler Gigant has a strong reputation for quality service and shares the company's commitment to organic growth.
