Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV said Sept. 6 that shareholders elected CEO Michael Manley as executive director of the London-based automaker during their extraordinary general meeting held in Amsterdam.

Manley was appointed as CEO in July to replace Sergio Marchionne, whose health had been deteriorating due to complications from shoulder surgery. Marchionne died less than a week after his replacement was named.
