Suncorp GroupLtd. has taken a US$5 million equity stake in U.S.-based technologydeveloper Trov Inc.

The two companies will launch an on-demand insuranceplatform called Trov Protection in May, Suncorp said April 27. The platform isdesigned to offer customers instant access to insurance for single items.

Trov Protection is integrated into the current Trov app. Itwill initially offer insurance for technology items with a broader range ofitems available in the next few months.
