Cielo SA said its board approved the distribution of 247.8 million Brazilian reais in interest on equity for the second half of 2016, corresponding to an estimated gross amount of about 10.97 centavos per share.

The per-share amount is subject to change due to the sale of treasury shares related to the exercise of stock option grants, the company said in a Dec. 28 statement, adding that the final per-share amount will be disclosed Jan. 3, 2017.

The payment will be made March 31, 2017, to shareholders of record as of Jan. 3, 2017.

As of Dec. 28, US$1 was equivalent to 3.28 Brazilian reais.
