Nordex receives 974 MW of wind turbine orders in Q3

Nordex SE on Oct. 10 said it received firm orders for 974 MW of wind turbines during the third quarter, compared with 203.4 MW of orders booked in the third quarter of 2017.

Of the total order volume, 405 MW came from North America, 99 MW came from Argentina, 252 came from South Africa, and 218 came from Europe, according to a company news release. The company's strongest individual markets in Europe include Germany, Belgium, France and Finland.

"With close to 1 GW order intake in Q3, the Nordex Group has been able to show a very solid and stable new order performance over four consecutive quarters now," Nordex CEO José Luis Blanco said.

Year-to-date, the company said it has already received firm orders totaling more than 3,070 MW.
