S. Khonkaen Foods PCL said its second-quarter normalized net income was 77 satang per share, a gain of 4.9% from 73 satang per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 18.7 million baht, an increase of 4.9% from 17.8 million baht in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin fell to 3.2% from 3.2% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue rose 6.7% year over year to 587.0 million baht from 550.0 million baht, and total operating expenses grew 6.7% from the prior-year period to 551.8 million baht from 517.3 million baht.

Reported net income totaled 23.8 million baht, or 98 satang per share, compared to 23.6 million baht, or 97 satang per share, in the prior-year period.
