Target Corp. said Aug. 14 that it is expanding same-day delivery service to Portland, Maine from Aug. 21, offering a selection of more than 55,000 products.
The Minnesota-based retailer provides the delivery service through Shipt, a delivery company it acquired in December 2017.
As part of the Maine expansion, Target is offering its annual membership fee for $49 instead of the regular $99 fee to new Shipt members in the Portland area who sign up before the service rolls out.
The retailer said it expects the same-day delivery service to be available to 65% of U.S. households across 180 markets by the end of the year.
