AT&T to expand internet service to 11 new metro areas

AT&TInc. will expand its internet service, with a 1 GB connection, to11 new metro areas.

The telco will launch its services in Gainesville and PanamaCity, Fla.; Columbus, Ga.; Central Kentucky, Ky.; Lafayette, La.;Biloxi-Gulfport and Northeast Mississippi, Miss.; Wilmington, N.C.; SoutheasternTennessee and Knoxville, Tenn.; and Corpus Christi, Texas.

AT&T plans on bringing its service to select locationsin at least 67 metros, and plans to launch it in 45 metros by the end of thisyear. The company already provides internet serviceto parts of 29 metro areas in the U.S., according to an Oct. 4 news release.
