BNP Paribas recruits 3 senior execs to its equities team in EMEA

BNP Paribas SA said Jan. 27 that it made three appointments to its equity capital markets and cash equities teams.

Andreas Bernstorff was named head of ECM in Europe, the Middle East and Africa at BNP Paribas, replacing Thierry Olive, who will take on a new investment banking role within the BNP Paribas group in Asia. Bernstorff was most recently a senior managing director and head of ECM for Germany, Austria and the Nordics at Citigroup Inc.

The French lender also appointed Bénédicte Thibord global head of corporate access and Phil Griffith deputy head of equity sales at Exane BNP Paribas.

Thibord most recently served as global head of SmartConnect at Kepler Cheuvreux, while Griffith was head of advisory sales in Europe at Morgan Stanley.
