R1 RCM to acquire SCI Solutions in $190M cash offer

R1 RCM Inc. has agreed to acquire SCI Solutions Inc. for about $190 million in cash.

Pending regulatory approval and closing conditions, the transaction is expected to close in the second quarter of 2020, according to a Jan. 13 press release from R1 RCM.

R1 RCM, which offers tech-based revenue cycle management services for healthcare providers, said in the press release that it plans to fund the transaction with cash from its balance sheet and debt.

The privately held SCI Solutions offers patient scheduling and access software to over 94,000 providers and 1,200 sites, according to the press release.
