Bank of China opens branch in Serbia

Bank of China Ltd. opened a branch in Serbia, becoming the first Chinese bank to operate in the European country, Xinhua News reported Jan. 21.

Tian Guoli, chairman of the bank, said its Serbian operation was an essential step to satisfy the demands of economic cooperation between the two countries.
