BofA hires ex-UBS banker; Credit Suisse names corporate banking head at Bern

Bank of America

Bank of America Corp. appointed Rodriguez Andrade as head of equity-linked transactions for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Financial News reported, citing people familiar with the matter.

Andrade is a former UBS Group AG banker, having been part of its equity-linked transactions team in London, the report noted.

Credit Suisse

Credit Suisse Group AG has appointed Reto Portmann as the new head of corporate banking at its Bern-based unit, replacing Andreas Schafer, finews.ch reported, citing an August 9 statement of the group.

Portmann has been working at the group's corporate banking business for the past 16 years. His most current position was deputy chief of the corporate clients market division in Bern.

TBC Bank Group

The Georgia-based lender TBC Bank Group PLC named Nicholas Haag senior independent director of the board, effective Aug. 9.

Haag is an independent nonexecutive director at the lender. He will also be a member of the corporate governance and nomination committee, the lender said.
