Race Winning Brands Inc., which is backed by private equity firm Kinderhook Industries LLC, acquired Giannone Performance Products Inc. and Falicon Crankshaft Components Inc. in two separate transactions.
Financial terms of the two deals were not made public.
Giannone Performance, which does business as MGP Connecting Rods, manufactures aluminum connecting rods for the racing and high-performance markets. Bob Fox will become president at MGP. Fox is president of Diamond Pistons and Trend Performance, which Race Winning acquired in March 2017.
Falicon, which makes high-performance power sports engine components, will keep its headquarters and manufacturing facility in Clearwater, Fla. Its current management team will remain intact and will be joined by Devin Rickey, who previously worked with McLaren Performance Technologies and Arrow Racing Engines, as general manager and chief engineer, and former Carrillo President Jack Sparks as technical director.
Mentor, Ohio-based Race Winning Brands provides racing and high-performance parts to automotive and power sports markets.
