Moneta to undertake 40,000-meter drill program at Golden Highway project

Moneta Porcupine Mines Inc. said Sept. 29 that it will undertake a 40,000-meter drill program at its Golden Highway gold project in Ontario, with two drill rigs being mobilized and a third to follow by January 2017.

The 2016-2017 exploration program primarily consists of drilling several priority target areas along 8 kilometers of the Destor Porcupine Fault Zone corridor adjacent to existing resources.

The target areas were generated by modeling and correlation of key data, including airborne and ground magnetics, induced polarization, assay results from past drilling and a review of historical drill core and known geology.

A re-logging and sampling program of historical core is now underway, Moneta Porcupine added.
