S&P affirms Bank of America México's ratings

Standard & Poor's Ratings Services on April 12 affirmed itslong- and short-term national counterparty credit ratings on Bank of America México SA Institución de Banca Múltiple atmxAAA and mxA-1+, respectively.

The outlook is stable.

The ratings incorporate S&P's assessment of the bank's weakbusiness position due to income fluctuations given its approach to brokerage business, which is more volatile; a strong level of capitalization through constant internalcapital generation; and a moderate risk position given low risk diversification. They also reflect the bank's below average funding but adequate liquidity. S&Pbelieves the bank to be a highly strategic subsidiary to its parent
