New Pacific Metals Corp. said Dec. 19 that it expanded its Silver Sand land package in Bolivia by acquiring a 100% interest in a special temporary authorization immediately to the north of the project, for US$200,000.
The newly acquired authorization consists of six hectares but will total about 0.50 square kilometer once consolidated to concessions called Cuadriculas and converted to a mining administrative contract by Bolivia's Autoridad Jurisdiccional Administrativa Minera.
On Dec. 4, the company said that it signed an agreement with an arm's length private corporation to acquire a 98% stake in the latter's Silverstrike silver project, about 450 kilometers northwest of the Silver Sand project in Bolivia.
