Koninklijke Ahold Delhaize NV said Oct. 9 that it repurchased 1,700,640 of its common shares between Oct. 1 and Oct. 5.
The shares were bought at an average price of €19.29 per share, for a total consideration of €32.8 million.
The transaction forms part of the €2 billion share repurchase program the Dutch grocery retailer announced in November 2017.
Ahold Delhaize has repurchased a total of 86,145,454 shares under the buyback program, for a total consideration of €1.69 billion.
