Canadian Utilities files C$2B offering circular

Canadian UtilitiesLtd. filed a preliminary short-form base shelf prospectus March 31 forthe potential sale of up to C$2 billion of securities.

The filing covers the sale of the ATCO Ltd. subsidiary's preferred shares and debt securitiesfrom time to time.

The company plans to add net proceeds of the sale of any securitiesto its general funds, and use such funds to finance CapEx, repay existing debt andfor other general corporate purposes.
