Banque Pour Le Commerce Exterieur Lao Public posted a profit after tax of 216.98 billion Lao kip for the six-month period ended June 30.

The bank said July 5 that net interest and similar income for the period amounted to 430.81 billion kip. Fees and commission income came in at 65.95 billion kip, while fees and commission expenses totaled 10.58 billion kip.

Net operating income totaled 514.87 billion kip. The lender's net specific provision charge for loans to customers amounted to 48.34 billion kip.

As of July 5, US$1 was equivalent to 8,256.30 Lao kip.
