Vestas to supply 192 MW of wind turbines in US, Mexico

Vestas Wind Systems A/S received an order for 162 MW of wind turbines in the U.S. and another for 30 MW of turbines in Mexico for undisclosed customers.

The U.S. order includes the supply and commissioning of the turbines along with a 10-year service contract, according to a Dec. 31, 2019, news release. Delivery will begin in the second quarter, with commissioning scheduled for the third quarter.

The Mexican contract includes supply, installation and a 20-year service and operations agreement, according to a separate release. The turbines are expected to be delivered in the fourth quarter, and the unnamed project is set to reach commercial operations in the second quarter of 2021.
