Solar Alliance to target commercial solar customers in US

The Solar AllianceEnergy Inc. has launched a commercial solar division based in San Diegoto target customers across the U.S.

"The launch of a commercial solar division marks the nextstage of our company's development in solar energy and will provide another revenuestream for Solar Alliance," Solar Alliance Chairman and CEO Jason Bak saidin a July 19 release. "[W]e are excited to bring that experience to the commercialand industrial solar marketplace."

The top 25 corporate solar users in America have installed morethan 907 MW of capacity at 1,686 different facilities across the country — a numberwhich is expected to grow, according to the Solar Energy Industries Association.

Based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Solar Alliance has developedover 360 MW of renewable energy projects and subsequently sold them to utilitiesor large independent power producers, and has installed more than 2,000 residentialsolar systems in southern California.
