LifePoint Health says new CFO to take over after merger completion

LifePoint Health Inc. said Michael Coggin will become the company's executive vice president and CFO after closing of the merger with RCCH HealthCare Partners

The Brentwood, Tenn.-based hospital operator has agreed to be acquired by New York-based private equity firm Apollo Global Management LLC in a $5.6 billion deal.

Apollo acquired RegionalCare Hospital Partners Holdings Inc. in 2015 and merged it with hospital operator Capella Healthcare Inc. in 2016, and the combined company is now known as RCCH HealthCare Partners.

After the completion of the merger between LifePoint and RCCH HealthCare Partners, the combined entity will operate as a privately held company under the name LifePoint Health.

LifePoint also announced other executive changes including John Bumpus as executive vice president, administration and Jennifer Peters as executive vice president, general counsel.

The announcement comes after the company said its current president and COO, David Dill, will replace William Carpenter III as CEO once the deal closes.
