Gentera targets 14% to 16% loan growth in 2017

Gentera SAB de CV said it expects its loan portfolio to grow between 14% and 16% in 2017 as the company continues to focus on asset quality.

The Mexico City-based firm also forecasts its 2017 earnings per share to grow in a range of 2.39 Mexican pesos to 2.46 pesos.

In 2017, Gentera will continue to invest in strategic projects for savings, the development and strengthening of correspondent manager YASTAS, as well as the branch network of unit Banco Compartamos SA Institución de Banca Múltiple, the company said in a Dec. 16 statement.

As of Dec. 19, US$1 was equivalent to 20.41 Mexican pesos.
