Canaccord Genuity increases quarterly dividend

Canaccord Genuity Group Inc.'s board on Aug. 6 declared a quarterly dividend of 5 Canadian cents per common share, payable Sept. 10 to shareholders of record as of Aug. 30.

This is an increase from the company's previous dividend of 1 cent per share.

Canaccord posted total revenues of C$325.5 million in the fiscal first quarter of 2020, up 18.7% from C$274.1 million in the year-ago period.

Adjusted net income attributable to common shareholders amounted to C$28.2 million, up 30.3% from C$21.7 million a year ago.

On a non-adjusted basis, Canaccord's net income attributable to common shareholders was C$21.9 million in the most recent quarter, a 43.2% jump from C$15.3 million in the fiscal first quarter of 2019.

Non-adjusted EPS grew 28.6% year over year to 18 cents from 14 cents.
