T-Mobile US Inc.'s newly rebranded prepaid service Metro by T-Mobile is committing to launch 5G service in 2019.

T-Mobile in February unveiled plans to build out 5G network in 30 cities in 2018. The U.S. carrier will introduce the 5G services first in New York, Los Angeles, Dallas and Las Vegas.

Metro by T-Mobile, rebranded from MetroPCS, launched Oct. 8 with new all-unlimited rate plans, featuring Amazon Prime and Google One.
