Far Eastern International Bank to issue NT$4B of bonds

Far EasternInternational Bank Ltd. plans to issue NT$4 billion of subordinatedbonds, Reuters reported Sept. 27, citing a Chinese-language release.

The seven-year bonds were priced with an interest rate of1.55%. The par value and issue price is NT$10 million.

The proceeds from the issuance will be used to improve thebank's capital adequacy ratio.

As of Sept. 27, US$1was equivalent to NT$31.42.
