Acrisure buys Alaska USA Insurance Brokers' books of business

Caledonia, Mich.-based insurance brokerage Acrisure LLC has acquired the commercial insurance and employee benefits books of business from Alaska USA Insurance Brokers, the Grand Rapids Business Journal reported.

The new company will operate under the name of Insurance Brokers of Alaska, while Alaska USA Insurance Brokers will continue to operate as a personal lines insurance agency, according to the report.

Employees of Alaska USA will be retained and will continue to operate from existing locations. Tim Maudsley will serve as president of Insurance Brokers of Alaska, the news outlet reported.

Alaska USA Insurance Brokers is a unit of Alaska USA Federal Credit Union.
