Banco do Brasil should see ROE of above 10% in 2018, CEO says

Banco do Brasil SA CEO Paulo Caffarelli said the bank should see return on equity of above 10% for 2018, Reuters reported.

Caffarelli also said the bank's capital should represent 11% to 12% of its weighted assets over the medium term, and by 2019 its profitability levels should be closer to those of its private sector rivals.

The bank is also planning to offer the stake it holds in Argentina's Banco Patagonia SA, the executive added. Earlier in the year, Banco Macro SA had bowed out of sale talks in Banco Patagonia.
