Spirit Airlines agrees to buy 100 Airbus aircraft

U.S. budget carrier Spirit Airlines Inc. agreed to buy 100 Airbus SE A320NEO family aircraft, with delivery planned through 2027.

The deal, which includes a mix of Airbus A319, A320 and A321 models, has an option for Spirit Airlines to buy up to 50 more aircraft, Spirit Airlines said Dec. 23. The companies signed a memorandum of understanding for this deal in October.
