Idaho Power requests reduction in Ore. electric rates due to tax savings

Idaho Power Co. asked the Oregon Public Utility Commission for a $36,151 reduction in electric rates, attributed to federal corporate tax reform.

If approved by the commission, an average customer using 1,150 kWh per month will see a decrease of 6 cents on their electricity bill starting June 1, 2020.

Total annualized tax benefits to Idaho Power's Oregon customers will reach $1.5 million, according to a Dec. 23 news release by the IDACORP Inc. subsidiary.
