Former Soros execs, Blue Pool Capital partner start fund of hedge funds

Kieran Cavanna, Barry Purcell and Nishi Shah formed a fundof hedge funds, Bloomberg News reported, citing "a person with knowledgeof the matter."

Cavanna is chief investment officer, Purcell is presidentand COO, and Shah leads research at Old Farm Partners, which started June 1with about $65 million in assets under management.

Cavanna formerly ran external investments for billionaireinvestor George Soros' family office and Shah is a former analyst at .Cavanna and Shah left Soros in October 2015. Purcell is a former partner atBlue Pool Capital.

Old Farm Partners will focus on equities and macroeconomictrends, and is backed by a family office, university endowment and insurancecompany, according to the report.
