Vietnam's Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange briefly halted trading in the Aug. 15 morning session following "some errors with distribution of market data," Bloomberg News reported the same day, citing an emailed statement from the exchange.
The malfunction caused little change in the benchmark VN-30 Index, the news outlet said.
Nguyen Quang Bao, vice general director at Viet Capital Securities JSC, said the disruption did not last long enough to have a big impact.
