Insured losses from the wildfires that struck Sevier County, Tenn., on Nov. 28, 2016, are now estimated to reach $842.3 million, the Knoxville News Sentinel reported, citing the Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance.
The department is expected to release two more insurance reports before the loss estimate is finalized. A total of 3,947 claims has been filed as a result of the wildfires, including personal auto, commercial auto, business interruption and other lines claims, according to the report.
