Retail Properties COO adds president title; Mango Capital appoints CFO, COO

This feature presents a weekly rundown of recent significant management and board changes and personnel moves in the North American real estate industry, including U.S. real estate investment trusts and homebuilders.

C-suite changes

* COO Shane Garrison of Retail Properties of America Inc. added the title of president of the shopping center REIT on May 24. Garrison was also executive vice president and chief investment officer before the appointment. Steven Grimes, meanwhile, stepped down as president, but will continue as CEO.

* Mango Capital Inc. appointed Charles Montecino as CFO and Lawrence Brean as COO. The new appointees will also join the real estate holding company's board of advisers.

* Advertising-focused REIT OUTFRONT Media Inc. appointed Matthew Siegel, most recently executive vice president and CFO of CBS Radio Inc., as its new executive vice president and CFO, effective June 4, replacing Donald Shassian, who will retire June 1.

Board shuffle

* Former executive vice president at Wells Fargo Bank Sharon Osberg joined the board of trustees of Seritage Growth Properties as an independent trustee, effective May 29, succeeding Kenneth Lombard, who was recently appointed executive vice president and COO of the retail REIT.

* Yuhi Horiguchi stepped down from the board of ROI Land Investments Ltd., but will remain its CFO. The property developer added Marshall Scott Vayer, an attorney, counselor at law and a founding member of the Cardozo School of Law at Yeshiva University in New York City, as director and executive vice president.

* James Speakman chose not to stand for re-election to the board of Pure Multi-Family REIT LP at its annual and special unit-holder meeting.

* Senior Vice President Kate Bicknell of Forest City Realty Trust Inc. joined Oxford Properties Group as a vice president and the head of its New York development team May 21, the Commercial Observer reported.
