Several senior film executives of 21st Century Fox Inc. will join Walt Disney Co.'s Studio Entertainment management team, conditional upon closing of the company's transaction to acquire Fox assets.

Under the new structure, Emma Watts will serve as vice chairman of 20th Century Fox Film and president of production at 20th Century Fox; Nancy Utley and Stephen Gilula will chair Fox Searchlight Pictures, and Elizabeth Gabler will serve as president of production for Fox 2000, the company said Oct. 18.

Andrea Miloro and Robert Baird will serve as co-presidents of Fox Animation, and Vanessa Morrison will serve as president of Fox Family.

Disney's acquisition of Fox has received formal approval from shareholders of both companies, and Disney and Fox have entered into a consent decree with the U.S. Department of Justice that allows the acquisition to proceed while requiring the sale of the Fox Sports regional networks.

The transaction is subject to a number of non-U.S. merger and other regulatory reviews.

Disney recently unveiled plans for a new organizational structure for its Media Networks segment, which is also conditional upon closing of the merger.
