Hiraki Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal fourth quarter ended March 31 came to ¥5.38 per share, a decline of 46.8% from ¥10.12 per share in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥26.3 million, a decline of 46.8% from ¥49.4 million in the prior-year period.
The normalized profit margin fell to 0.6% from 1.0% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue declined 15.3% on an annual basis to ¥4.16 billion from ¥4.90 billion, and total operating expenses fell 14.9% from the prior-year period to ¥4.09 billion from ¥4.80 billion.
Reported net income totaled a loss of ¥46.0 million, or a loss of ¥9.43 per share, compared to a loss of ¥12.0 million, or a loss of ¥2.46 per share, in the year-earlier period.
For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled ¥65.59 per share, a decrease of 35.3% from ¥101.31 per share in the prior year.
Normalized net income was ¥320.0 million, a decrease of 35.3% from ¥494.4 million in the prior year.
Full-year total revenue fell 10.9% on an annual basis to ¥17.81 billion from ¥19.99 billion, and total operating expenses fell 10.4% year over year to ¥17.22 billion from ¥19.22 billion.
The company said reported net income declined 42.7% year over year to ¥224.0 million, or ¥45.91 per share, in the full year, from ¥391.0 million, or ¥80.12 per share.
