Beauty Community Q4 profit climbs 21.1% YOY

Beauty Community PCL said its fourth-quarter normalized net income was 3 satang per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of 4 satang per share.

EPS climbed 21.0% year over year from 3 satang.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 102.3 million baht, a gain of 21.1% from 84.5 million baht in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin dropped to 17.9% from 19.9% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue climbed 34.4% year over year to 570.8 million baht from 424.7 million baht, and total operating expenses grew 38.6% from the prior-year period to 410.3 million baht from 296.0 million baht.

Reported net income grew 21.2% on an annual basis to 131.0 million baht, or 4 satang per share, from 108.1 million baht, or 4 satang per share.

For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled 10 satang per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus normalized EPS estimate of 13 satang.

EPS rose 33.4% from 8 satang in the prior year.

Normalized net income was 314.3 million baht, a rise of 33.4% from 235.5 million baht in the prior year.

Full-year total revenue grew 30.4% year over year to 1.77 billion baht from 1.36 billion baht, and total operating expenses rose 27.8% year over year to 1.29 billion baht from 1.01 billion baht.

The company said reported net income rose 33.6% year over year to 402.5 million baht, or 13 satang per share, in the full year, from 301.2 million baht, or 10 satang per share.

As of Feb. 26, US$1 was equivalent to 35.74 baht.
