Sinclair, NCTC strike retrans consent agreement

Sinclair Broadcast Group Inc. reached an agreement with the National Cable Television Cooperative, allowing NCTC's member companies to opt into a multiyear retransmission consent agreement.

The agreement also covers the carriage of Sinclair-owned Tennis Channel.

NCTC, which has more than 850 independent cable operator members, represents more than 2 million ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX subscribers and around 700,000 CW and MYTV subs in Sinclair's markets.
