Viu, the over-the-top service operated by -based PCCWLtd., partnered with Singtel to launch a premium subscription video servicein Singapore, Advanced Television reported July 8.

The premium service offers subscribers unlimited downloads.It also features South Koreandramas, variety shows from Korean broadcasters and dramas. Subscribers can opt to watch content in1080p HD quality with limited advertisements.

Viu was initially launched as a freemium service in October2015. Users of that service will continue to have access to Viu's catalog ofAsian content free of charge.
