Gryphon Minerals Ltd. said on Sept. 23 that shareholders have approved the planned takeover of the company by Teranga Gold Corp. The deal is expected to close in mid-October, pending statutory approvals.

Gryphon's key asset is the 90%-owned fully permitted open-pit Banfora gold project in Burkina Faso.
