Coca Cola Amatil fiscal H1 profit climbs YOY

Coca-Cola Amatil Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal first half ended July 3 amounted to 21 Australian cents per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of 25 cents per share.

EPS increased year over year from 21 cents.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was A$162.9 million, an increase from A$159.8 million in the first half ended June 30, 2014.

Total revenue increased on an annual basis to A$2.46 billion from A$2.35 billion, and total operating expenses grew 5.7% on an annual basis to A$2.15 billion from A$2.03 billion.

Reported net income totaled A$183.9 million, or 24 cents per share, compared to A$182.3 million, or 24 cents per share, in the first half ended June 30, 2014.
