Astron Corp.Ltd. said April 7 that following an update of the mineral resourceestimate for its Donald mineral sands project in Victoria, Australia, thetotal resource was now estimated at 5.71 billion tonnes of sand at an averagegrade of 3.2% heavy minerals, at a 1% heavy mineral cutoff.
The measured mineral resource estimate for the Donald depositdoubled to 715 million tonnes at 4.3% heavy mineral, compared to the 2014estimate of 340 million tonnes at 4.3% heavy mineral, both at 1% HM cutoff, thecompany said.
The in-situ measured and indicated mineral resource estimateincreased from 52 million tonnes in 2011 to 115 million tonnes in the latestestimate.
