Stifel Financial names COO, CFO

Stifel Financial Corp. named David Sliney COO and Jim Marischen CFO, effective Aug. 7.

Sliney has served as senior vice president of strategic planning, technology and operations at the company since 2003.

Marischen most recently served as chief accounting officer and chief risk officer for the company. He will assume the CFO role from James Zemlyak, who has served as the company's CFO since 1999.

Zemlyak will now focus exclusively on heading up the company's global wealth management business, which he has been leading since 2011. He will remain co-president of the company with Victor Nesi, who will continue to lead the company's institutional group.
