Focus Minerals Ltd.'s JORC 2012-compliant mineral resource estimate for the Karridale deposit, part of the company's Laverton gold project in Western Australia, swelled 25%.
The Karridale deposit now hosts total resources of 15.7 million tonnes at 1.3 g/t gold containing 672,000 ounces, at a 0.6 g/t gold cut-off, according to a May 27 release.
The indicated resource climbed 14% to 3.1 Mt at 1.5 g/t gold for 154,000 contained ounces, and the inferred resource jumped 28% to 12.6 Mt at 1.3 g/t gold containing 518,000 ounces.
The update, which includes drilling in 2018 south of the maiden resource area, is based on a total of 197 drill holes totaling 45,365 meters.
The mineralization at Karridale remains open in all directions, the company noted.
Focus intends to drill the exploration target at the Karridale deposit over the next 2 years of 23.5 Mt to 29 Mt at 1.33 g/t to 1.5 g/t gold containing 1.0 million ounces to 1.4 Moz of gold.
