Fitch Ratings does not expect an impact on 's creditratings now that it has secured regulatory approval for its environmental compliance plan for theSooner coal-firedpower plant.
The Oklahoma Corporation Commission approval does, however, clarify the OGE Energy Corp.subsidiary's strategy to comply with the U.S. EPA's regional haze planrequirements, the ratings agency said April 29.
OG&E is rated "A" while OGE Energy is rated "A-"at the ratings agency.
Fitch expects ratings at both companies to remain consistentin either a scrubber installation or gas conversion scenario. "[O]GE andOGE's rating stability will depend on on-time and on-budget execution of thescrubber project and other environmental compliance projects, as well asreasonable and timely recovery in rates after completion of these projects,"Fitch said.
